What is
Aging in Place
Aging in place means choosing to remain in your own home as you get older, rather than moving to a senior living community or a smaller space. It is the choice most older adults make when asked, and with the right support it is a very achievable one. WellRive helps older adults and their families assess how a home is working, make hands-on changes that improve safety and comfort, and create a space that supports independent living for the long term.

What To Expect
Setting up your home for independent living
It starts with an honest look at how your home is actually working.
We walk through every room with you, looking at how you move through the space, where daily routines are easy and where they are not, and what small changes would make the biggest difference.
Your home becomes more functional every day.
Every adjustment we make is based on how you actually live. Where things are stored, how furniture is arranged, what is easy to reach and what is not. The goal is a home that is more functional for you today and built to stay that way as your needs change.
The things that create risk get addressed.
Cluttered pathways, hard to reach storage, furniture that interrupts movement through the home. WellRive makes practical, hands on changes that reduce risk and make daily life easier without making your home feel clinical or unfamiliar.
You keep your independence longer.
The goal of everything we do is to keep you comfortable and capable in your own home. Small changes add up to a home that supports you rather than one you have to work around.
Your family gets peace of mind.
For adult children managing from a distance, WellRive provides a trusted set of eyes and hands on the ground. We assess, we plan, we act, and we communicate clearly so everyone involved knows exactly where things stand.

Moves that changed everything
Jill and the WellRive Team were great. Their packing and unpacking went smoothly and they treated all of our “treasures” carefully. The team was caring, friendly and focused. We did a “one-day” move with packing and moving one day and unpacking the next. Our moving crew was also great. They treated our furniture and items with great care. They asked where to put things and rearranged furniture when asked. They always asked if there was anything else they could do for us. The unpacking team was efficient and most helpful in putting everything where we wanted. They also hung some of the pictures where we wanted them. This is the second move that we have used Jill and her team and this one went as well as the first. We would definitely and highly recommend WellRive.

We had not moved in over 12 years, and the thought of us doing it was very overwhelming. A friend recommended WellRive, and WOW we were super impressed!! They did all the packing and unpacking, coordinated with the furniture movers, and made our new place a home. HIGHLY recommend this outstanding team for your next move!!

Rashaun did an excellent job of facilitating our move from our house of 53 years to a smaller senior housing apartment. She was very organized, understanding, patient and easy to work with. Her team took what was a heavy load of decisions, packing, moving and unpacking from our shoulders and made the process that we dreaded so much easier. I will definitely use WellRive again if we need to move. Thank you.

ALL ABOUT MOVE MANAGEMENT
Frequently Asked Questions
What does aging in place mean?
Aging in place means choosing to remain in your own home as you get older rather than moving to a senior living community or smaller space. With the right support and a home that is set up to work for you, it is a very achievable goal for most older adults. WellRive helps make it possible by assessing your home, making practical changes, and creating systems that support your independence for the long term.
How do I know if my home is safe for aging in place?
The best place to start is a professional home assessment. WellRive walks through your home with you, identifies areas that could create risk or difficulty as needs change, and builds a plan to address them. Common considerations include pathway clarity, storage accessibility, furniture arrangement, and the ability to accommodate mobility aids or medical equipment if needed.
How is aging in place different from home modification?
Home modification typically refers to structural changes like installing grab bars, widening doorways, or adding ramps, usually done by a contractor. Aging in place support from WellRive focuses on the non-structural work that makes an equally significant difference, reorganizing storage, rearranging furniture, decluttering, and optimizing the space for the way you live now. The two often work hand in hand and we can help coordinate both.
