Q&A

What makes up a good team?

Good leadership. It funnels down – it’s basically an umbrella. If you’re good at building relationships with people, then everything else works out fine.

What are three critical traits a client should look for in a prospective move management company?

Pricing – I hate to say it but it’s what most clients are looking at; quality, of course; and feedback from former clients – that’s huge. Being organized is something else you must have in place.

If you could go anywhere, where would you relocate to?

Switzerland would be great. But my wife and I always talk about relocating to Florida at some point. We are travel people – we’ve been together 20 years and we don’t have kids and that’s kind of where we decided to end up. We have a timeshare in Orlando, which is pretty much a hub in the state and we can go wherever we want from there. Our favorite place is St. Pete.

What’s either the best advice you’ve ever received or worst advice you’ve ever received?

I always go back to a teacher I had in high school. I used to ask a lot of questions because if I didn’t know the answer, I wanted to know what it was. She always told me that there were “no stupid questions, only stupid answers” and I’ve always held that dear. I tell my team that, too – if you don’t know something, you need to ask. You need to make sure that you’re doing something correctly or something is going to go wrong, you’re going to make a mistake. Reaching out to find answers is key and it’s something I’ve always lived by.

Tell us something you’re excited about.

My wife and I are very family oriented – we do family dinners on Sunday and things like that – and I’m just so excited that everyone is healthy, happy, and doing well.
