As the recipient of WellRive’s President’s Award for Q2 of 2024, Gloria Cervantes demonstrates an exceptional commitment to elevated client care. As our General Manager for the California Region, she has greatly improved the well-being of our clients by pairing her extensive experience in the hospitality industry with a positive, client-focused approach. It has made a huge difference during the often-stressful and emotional moving process!

Q&A

How long have you been at WellRive and in the industry in general?

Throughout my career, I have accumulated a wealth of experience in the service industry, spanning over 30 years. I’ve been with this organization for 9 years, starting with Gentle Transitions and now specifically under the WellRive banner for the past year and a half, honing my skills and expertise in providing exceptional service.

How did you find your way into this industry?

In the hospitality industry, we were always focused on delivering exceptional service and creating unforgettable moments for our guests. Now I have the opportunity to continue making a meaningful impact on people’s lives. 

I am excited to utilize my skills and expertise from the hospitality industry to elevate the level of care and attention that our clients receive during their move. By creating a seamless and personalized experience, we can contribute to their overall well-being and make a positive difference in their lives.

What components make up a good team?

In a good team, passion for what we do is essential, followed by teamwork, empathy, and attention to detail. The responsibility to create positive experiences for our clients extends to our team members as well.

What are three critical traits a client should look for in a prospective move management company? 

First and foremost, a move management company should offer personalized service tailored to the unique needs of each client, ensuring a smooth and stress-free transition.

Additionally, they should have a proven track record of reliability and professionalism. Move management is not just about the physical aspects of the move; it is about understanding the emotional needs of our clients and providing them with the compassion and support they deserve. By doing so, we can help create a lasting memory filled with comfort, happiness, and fulfillment.

Lastly, strong communication skills are essential to keep clients informed and reassured throughout the entire moving process.

If you could go anywhere, where would you relocate to?

I am a Southern California gal and I love it here!

What’s either the best or worst advice you’ve ever received?

I’m a firm believer in controlling what is controllable, and it’s not what happens but how you react to it that matters. My biggest saying is, “It’s all in the delivery.” I believe that the way you present yourself and how you handle a situation can have a lasting impact. It’s important to stay positive, have a good attitude, and focus on solutions rather than problems. Taking control and making the right moves is the key to success.

The experience of watching the legacy of Gentle Transitions evolve into WellRive, the next generation of Gentle Transitions, is truly transcendent!
