Employee Spotlight: Eileen Matthews
Each quarter, we celebrate team members who exemplify WellRive’s values of excellence, innovation, and service. We’re proud to recognize Eileen Matthews, Client Service Advisor in our Southern California office, as the President’s Award recipient for her compassion, reliability, and dedication to both our clients and teams.
Eileen began her journey with WellRive in 2019 as a move assistant in our Southern California office. Although the move management industry was entirely new to her, she quickly saw the emotional impact of the work—and felt an immediate connection to the mission. “The first time I saw a client cry over our work, that was it. I was sold—I knew this is where I needed to be,” she recalls. During her initial interview with WellRive, it was clear Eileen had the potential to become a move manager right away. Instead, she chose to begin as a move assistant, valuing the opportunity to learn the company’s processes from the ground up. Since then, she has embraced every opportunity to grow within WellRive, ultimately stepping into her current position as Client Service Advisor.
Involved in both local and long-distance moves, Eileen works closely with teams across regions and stays in touch with each of her clients for the duration of their move. She brings a calm, steady presence to every interaction—offering not just guidance, but genuine care. Known for her integrity, empathy, and ability to solve problems on the fly, Eileen makes even the most complex transitions feel manageable.
Q&A
What makes up a good team?
It’s ALL of us. I can’t do what I do without my boss, our move managers, our management, and our operations and accounting teams. Everyone is so involved and always ready to assist. If there’s anything that I ever need help with, I can reach out to management and if they can’t directly help me, they will find someone who can. It’s amazing. It’s all about having really good communication.
What are some critical traits a client should look for in a relocation partner?
Flexibility: Since WellRive is a full move solution, we start from the beginning and are equipped to help a wide variety of people with moves, no matter what size, in any way we can. Through this work, we lessen the stress and the strain of the moving process for our clients.
Being able to listen and be attentive: Transitions are so hard, and our ears are wide open to what our clients need.
Resources: A company must have everything to get the job done.
Walking with integrity is the most valuable thing I bring to my work. Many times, we work one-on-one with our clients, and they put their trust in us. For that reason, the last thing we want to do is give the wrong information. We should always stand by what we say and what we do.
If you could relocate anywhere, where would it be?
I was born and raised in California, so I might just go to the northern part of the state. I love the coast!
What’s something you’re excited about?
I’ve taken on new responsibilities at WellRive, and I love it. It’s challenging and keeps me on my toes. I appreciate the opportunity to grow and help in all different aspects of the company – from talking to clients to working with moving companies and out of state move management teams. I enjoy getting to know all of them.
Outside of work, I’m a big family person. My husband and I have three beautiful grandchildren – they are my life! When I’m not working, I’m doing something with them – I’m very blessed.
